New season, new wreath!

And by that, I mean football season, of course. ;o)

I used a green foam wreath from the Dollar tree, like this one:

And lots of ribbon.

And some glittery letters from Micheal's.

And I think the end result was pretty darn cute!

Please ignore the fact that my front door needs to be cleaned badly.  LOL

My boy's party

Alex's third birthday was last weekend.  :)  I didn't get to as many of the projects as I wanted, but I was happy with how the banner and cakes came out.  :)  My little spaceman.  LOL

School's Out! Summer 2012 craft projects!

I've kept a running photo record of my crafty endeavors on Facebook.  You can view the picturesHERE.

Recent projects:

MODGE PODGE LETTERS!
I made the kids each their name to match their bedroom decor- and they came out so cute, I decided to do my last initial to hand over my desk at school!  :)

I got a little "Modge-Podge Happy" and did a picture frame for Abby's room that matches.  I picked up this surfboard frame for uner $2 at Goodwill. :)  Now it matches the other items!  Still need to print photos to put in there though!  :)

FRAMED ART MAKEOVERS!
Abby has had framed "art" in her room for a while- two white frames with white mats, pink ribbon accent, and watercolor-ish prints of flowers.  Well, when we redid her room, they didn't "go" anymore - but they were too nice to ditch!! SO... I used scrapbook paper and some printed clip art, tore out the old ribbon and put in new, and VIOLA!  New art.  It's so cute!   Not to leave Alex out, I two blue frames with white mats from Goodwill (just under $4- the original pictures were of fruit! LOL)- and again, scrapbook paper and some printed clip art- and there ya go!  :)  I was pleased with the outcome!

TEACHER TOOL BOX!
Finally, a project I found on Pinterest.  :)  Originally (I believe!) from Create-Teach-Share is this dressed up teacher tool box  I love it!!  I got the box at Lowes (looked JUST like this one)- and also got some plastic spray primer and pink spray paint.  I took the drawers out and spray painted the shell- then followed the template to create the labels, which I printed on scrapbook paper.  Love it!

Random crafts that I completed the other day.   Foam wreath and "roses" from Dollar Tree, some hot glue and ribbon I already had on hand- and a pretty Valentine's wreath for only $6 and 20 minute of work!  :)  LOVE!

OK- I've been a crafter for as long as I can remember, and I've had a blog for quite a while- but never thought to combine the two- Here I am- going to give it a shot.  :o)

I enjoy taking pictures (not good enough to really call photography) and scrapbooking.  These are probably my favorite "crafty" ventures.  Here are a few examples of my work..  None of these are very recent- I'm a bit behind, so recent ones have been simple and quick.  ;o)

I also love making hairbows for my sweet girl.  She thinks she's getting too big for them lately, but I still love them!!  :)

Another craft-ortunity (ha!) that I look forward to is any excuse for a party, decorating, diaper cake, or costume.  :)

With two kids and a full time job outside of the home- there isn't much time left for crafts- But I try!

I will try to keep this updated as I complete new projects.  :)  Thanks for looking!

Happy Crafting!
